A triple layer hexagonal medallion with stair-step edges is surrounded by the allover geometric Herati motifs on a sand-beige colored field. Detailed with fine contrasting outlines, the repeating Herati pattern is brought into sharp focus against the contrasting light colored field. The vintage Persian rug is framed by a classic Herati border, flanked by cartouche guard bands. Rendered in variegated shades and hues of fawn, beige, sand, ecru, tan, coffee, sky blue, brown, chocolate, taupe, blue, sapphire and cream. Antique Wash. Hand-knotted wool. Made in Iran (Persia).
