The elaborate botanical details and soft pastel colorway woven into this piece work together resulting in a look of subtle sophistication. Starting from the center is tiny rosette radiating outwards with curved sickle leaves, arabesque vines entwined with blooming palmettes, lotus blossoms, stylized florals, leafy tendrils and undulating botanical formations covering the abrashed creamy beige field. A classic Herati border enclosed with double floral meander guard bands creates a lush enclosure and formal finish to the composition. Emanating nostalgic charm and Georgian style with a dreamy color palette, this vintage Persian area rug could be the answer to upscale design furnishings, whether generously or gingerly appointed.
