It features an ornate center medallion composed of blooming palmettes and arabesque vines. A vast field of delicate vine scrolls and flowers dance gracefully over this lovely antique Persian rug while supporting an extraordinary array of a realistic botanical design of intricate detail work with a profound sense of elegance and sophistication. It is enclosed with elaborate spandrels of exquisite detail. The remarkably detailed main border and subsidiary guard bands and stripes magnificently set the tone for the entire composition creating a flourishing enclosure for this peaceful scene.
