This hand-knotted wool vintage Persian Kashan area rug with traditional style features a lobed and stepped tricolor diamond medallion flanked with palmette finials surrounded by an all-over floral pattern composed of blooming palmettes, flowers, roundels, feathers, serrated leaves and arabesque vines throughout an abrashed rustic brown color field. It is enclosed with a classic Shah Abbas border and tricolor spandrels in each corner. Rich and warm colored Medallion carpets such as this bring an air of formality and elegance that elevate any interior they grace with their presence. Perfect for various opulent period styles: Traditional, modern, neoclassical, Renaissance, colonial, formal, Arts & Crafts, Art Nouveau, black forest, lodge, country and rustic.
