With its simplicity and geometric design, this hand-woven wool Swedish inspired Kilim rug provides a feeling of cozy contentment without the clutter. The abrashed golden striated field features an all-over checkerboard pattern comprised of squares and cubes in alternating colors decorated with small geometric star motifs. It is enclosed with a wide sawtooth border flanked with a checkered outer guard band giving it a sense of order and definition. Imbued with warm earth-tones and golden hues, the rich waves of abrash of painterly-like brush strokes and softly gradated striations run selvage to selvage blending seamlessly from one to the next. The amalgamation of colors harmonize one another, creating the perfect design and emanating function and versatility.
