With ornate details and well-balanced symmetry combined with a dreamlike Ottoman color palette, this hand knotted wool vintage Persian Kirman rug beautifully embodies Elizabethan and Romantic Georgian style. The square Persian rug features a radiating roundel with florals and opulent frondescence flanked with four trompe l'oeil filigree motifs. Eight circular floral roundels symmetrically intersect eight millefleur cartouche bouquets. It is framed with a repeating square tile pattern of diamonds and flowers flanked with inner and outer floral frondescence guard bands. With its intricate floral pattern, winding arrangements of garnished foliage, and captivating rinceaux embellishments, this vintage Persian Kirman rug is characterized by sensual decadence, as well as by stately action.
