Regal charm meets elegant sophistication in this hand knotted wool vintage Persian Tabriz rug. The decadent botanical detailing and rich color palette woven into this piece work together resulting in a warm, opulent feel. Radiating from the center is a lobed botanical medallion anchored with trefoil pendants at either end. An allover pattern composed of blooming palmettes, lotus blossoms, stylized florals, curved sickle leaves and delicate vine stems cover the emerald green field. Elaborate spandrels patterned with florals and foliage with acanthus scroll edges emanate from the corners. A classic lotus palmette border enclosed with floral meander guard bands create a beautiful enclosure to this formal composition. With its inviting combination sophisticated elegance and Old World appeal, this vintage Persian area rug evokes a traditional yet elevated feel.
