Timeless Italian appeal meets sunbaked elegance in this vintage Persian Yazd rug. The naturalistic botanical design uand rustic earth-tone colors woven into this piece work together creating a beautifully traditional ambiance. Taking center stage is a cusped oval medallion anchored with palmette pendants. An allover pattern composed of blooming palmettes, stylized florals, lanceolate leaves, and organic shapes cover the antique-washed rust colored backdrop. Delicately feminine corner spandrels echo the medallion. It is framed with an elaborate Shah Abbas palmette border enclosed with carnation meadering guard borders. The tan colored border brings a subtle softness while the faded terra cotta field delivers a warm and inviting presence. Reflecting elements of welcomed informality and Italian warmth, this vintage Persian area rug charms with ease.
