53737 Vintage Persian Viss Rug, 07'06 x 10'11.
Tribal enchantment meets rustic finesse in this hand knotted wool vintage Persian Viss rug. Taking center stage on the abrashed and lovingly time-worn red field is a hooked hexagonal medallion anchored with complementary lozenge pendants at either end. Amulets and stepped ziggurat mounds decorated with tree of life motifs run along the inside of vertical sides. A cruciform-cross symbol, feathery boteh and animal motifs emanate from the blue hooked corner spandrels. It is framed with a geometric meander border enclosed with double floral meander guard borders. Emulating laid-back luxury and weathered beauty, this vintage Persian area rug beautifully captures the essence of nomadic charm while imparting a sense of warmth and relaxed formality.
