This hand knotted wool vintage Persian Azerbaijan rug beautifully showcases a Mahi Fish Design in a rich jewel-tone color palette. A grandeur lozenge and two cartouche palmette finials take centre stage. The medallion is filled with and surrounded by an all-over pattern of Herati creating a frenetic garden. A stepped lozenge floats in the central field while a vanilla-cream medallion echoes the hues of the cut-out spandrels. The Mahi Persian Azerbaijan area rug is framed with a Classic Herati border flanked with triple outer guard bands and double inner guard bands.
