Description:-

20755 Vintage Purple Moroccan Rug, 06'01 x 09'06.

This vintage Beni Mguild Moroccan rug marries the vintage style of the Berbers and the look of a more modern piece. This modern Moroccan rug features a vibrant and diverse color scheme woven into a chevron pattern of vivacious color. Though deceptively simple, this beautiful Beni M'Guild Moroccan rug is clearly laced with meaning and cultural significance. The chevron pattern has great historical meaning in the history of Moroccan rug-making as a continuation of the range of feminine and reproductive symbolism displayed by Berber carpets. This chevron pattern typically represents femininity, womanhood, and alludes to a womans opened thighs symbolizing her readiness for conception. The border is composed of fused triangles representing the male's presence. In Moroccan rugs, male motifs often appear on the outer portions of the composition, framing and enclosing the female motifs. This presentation can be seen as symbolizing fertility, as well as protection and the sanctuary of the family. With its retro approach, lively colors, and captivating boho chic style, this vintage Moroccan rug would enliven any space with its forward-looking spirit.

Perfect for a bedroom, study, studio, home office, private library, grand foyer, designer entryway, alcove, small space, mudroom, conservatory, wine cellar, executive suite, grand parlor, theatre room, royal suite, billiards room, game room, sitting room, sunroom, children's area, playroom, or nursery. It would also make a lovely accent next to a buffet in a dining room or behind the sofa table in the living room. Well-suited for fashion-forward homes, eclectic interiors, and a variety of styles: Abstract, Expressionism, Cubism, Surrealism, Contemporary, Postmodern, Memphis design, Art Deco, Retro, Art Moderne, Mid-Century Modern, International, Nomadic, Tribal, Modern, Organic Modern, Bohemian, Lodge, Cabin, Rustic, Urban, and Loft. From cabin homes and ski chalets to mountain houses and Alpine lodges, vintage Moroccan rugs are making their way into our hearts and homes.
