This hand knotted wool antique-washed vintage Turkish Oushak rug features an oversized diamond-shaped center medallion with palmette pendants that nearly fills the abrashed cut-out field. The medallion contains a superimposed rectangular motif with an eight-pointed star at the center. Large rosettes decorate the medallion and field, while oversized spandrels repeat the eight-pointed star motif. The contrast between the rounded floral forms and angular stars is dynamic and playful. The composition is enclosed with a bold cloud band border flanked by inner and outer Meander guard bands. With its lovely antique-washed colors and bold design, this alluring vintage Turkish Oushak rug would be a splendid addition to any space.
