Nomadic charm meets sartorially chic in this handwoven wool vintage Moroccan kilim rug. The classic striped pattern and eye-striking color combination woven into this piece work together creating a happy state of equilibrium. The composition features a series of horizontal bands in alternating colors of yellow and charcoal black. Adding intrigue and a dash of mystery is an allover raised pattern composed of ambiguous motifs and tribal symbols. Pairing the two contrasting shades with light green accents make a striking statement and reveal an amalgamated affinity for dynamic color juxtaposition.
Steeped in ancient Berber history yet deciptively simple, this vintage Moroccan kilim rug is heavily patterned with diamonds generally representing the power of femininity and the nature of a woman. In this case, a concentric lozenge or diamonds within diamonds denote expansion which can be seen as impregnation.
