20404 Azilal Vintage Berber Moroccan Rug with Boho Chic Tribal Style From Esmaili Rugs Collection. From the Azilal region of the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco, this vintage Berber Moroccan rug features boho chic tribal style. Highlighting a bold all-over diamond design pattern and four stacked diamond enclosing ancient Berber symbols. Rendered in variegated colors of sky blue, oxblood red, pink, purple, black, cream, yellow, red, aqua, turquoise, lavender and grey. Containing an all-over diamond pattern, it also serves an amulet function as the Berber Tribes people believe diamonds represent protection of one's home and ward off evil spirits. It is an amazing Primitive abstract work of art for a boho chic and ultra-modern living space. Hand-knotted wool. Made in Morocco. Measures: 05’07 x 07’02. Date: 1970 to 1979. Late 20th Century. Good Condition - Minor wear consistent with age and history.
