Bold, thick lines form a two different variations of a diamond lattice on the field of creamy-beige. Historical richness and full of Ancient Berber symbolism, this Beni Ourain rug beautifully showcases traditional symbols of protection, femininity and conception. It is heavily ornamented with diamonds and 'œX' shape represents the open arms and legs of a woman who is ready to conceive and the power of womanhood. Some of the lozenges with latch-hooks are protection symbols and meant to capture evil spirits.
