Description:-

20596 Vintage Purple Boujad Moroccan Rug, 05'10 x 10'07.

Originating from the vibrant city of Boujad in the Khouribga region, Boujad rugs are celebrated for their eccentric and artistic designs, harmonizing nomadic charm, ancient symbolism, and Folk Art creativity. In this hand-knotted wool vintage Boujad Moroccan rug, the significance lies in the chevron design that runs along the middle of the composition. On the left and right sides, open-ended diamonds symbolize the openness of a woman aspiring to conceive.

At the heart of the Berber Moroccan rug, a recurring fusion of the 'X' symbol with the 'V' symbol imparts depth to the narrative. The 'X' signifies the open arms and legs of a woman prepared for conception, while the 'V' represents the open thighs—a symbolic motif of femininity and reproduction deeply ingrained in Ancient Berber rug making traditions.
