This hand-knotted wool vintage
Blue Indigo Beni M'Guild Moroccan rug is an exceptional representation of
Berber culture and symbolism. The starkly-colored symbols presented over the
cerulean blue background substantiates the significance of the patterns woven
into the carpet. Without drawing too much attention to itself, the rug displays
various motifs of femininity, conception, pregnancy and birth. Two stacked
diamonds symbolize conception. The small diamond placed within the half diamond
near the bottom of the rug represents a birth. A solid red line flanked with
black and ivory lines signify the male's presence. It is framed with stacked
diamond motifs on the vertical edges. Indulge the senses and make a statement
with this mesmerizing landscape of life creation for the floor.
