Cozy nomad meets beguiling charm in this hand-knotted wool vintage Persian Shiraz rug. The tribal lattice and warm earthy hues woven into this piece work together resulting in a look of worldly sophistication. The coveted latte colored field features a geometric lattice design formed by three offset columns of hooked amulets. Cross motifs, eight-point stars, roundels, s-hooks, and lozenge shaped tree of life motifs further ornament the composition. It is framed with an intriguing bird-on-a-pole border. A series of guard bands patterned with running water, lozenges, sawtooth and crenelated fence guard borders gives the piece definition and a sense of order. With its warm earth-tone colors and nomadic tribal style, this vintage Persian area rug will take on a modern lived-in look while imparting a sense of warmth and welcomed informality.
