Hamadan Rug, 05’01 x 09’02.
This Vintage Persian Hamadan Gallery Rug with Tribal Style
features a bold composition of a pole medallion composed of three hooked
diamonds connected by smaller diamonds at the interstices. Four affronted bird
patterns decorate each diamond in a lighter hue. A series of borders create a
frame to surround the composition composed of roundel flowers, tribal motifs,
running dog and alternating rows of flowers. This Persian gallery rug is a
unique work of tribal weaving perfect for a global bohemian, modern, primitive,
lodge, cottage, country, rustic, Black Forest and Adirondack style interiors.
- Rendered in variegated shades of camel, tan, ecru, taupe, coffee, hot pink,
pistachio, butterscotch and caramel. - Abrash. Antique wash.
