with invigorating Berber Tribe motifs and secondary protection symbols, this
hand-knotted wool vintage Berber Moroccan rug offers many meanings that are
represented through its geometric shapes. Nested lozenges with double
"evil eye" symbols mingle with stick figures and smaller diamonds
representing the duality of feminine and masculine, a traditional pattern from
the Berber weavers. It is framed with fused triangles enclosed in compartments,
possibly symbolizing copulation. While the patterns may seem whimsical and
random – they are very significant to the rug weaver’s life. The combination of
