Description:-
20395 Vintage Berber Moroccan Boujad Rug with Tribal Style and Soft Pastel Colors 05'04 x 07'08. Causal and calm or subtle Bohemian, this hand-knotted wool vintage Berber Moroccan Boujad rug features a beautiful sun-faded composition. It is heavily ornamented with diamond shapes, which represent the power of womanhood, femininity, and protection. Goz (eye) motifs with spiked edges are filled with repeating cruciforms. Concentric diamonds, each filled with a series of expanding lozenges typically symbolize pregnancy, womanhood, and fertility. The three-pronged twig motif represents the male's role in reproduction. It is enclosed with a sawtooth border running along the vertical sides. In Moroccan rugs, male motifs often appear on the outer portions of the composition, framing and enclosing the female motifs. This presentation can be seen as symbolizing fertility, as well as protection and the sanctuary of the family. This vintage Moroccan rug has an aura of spirited fun seamlessly reflecting generations of Berber cultural beliefs while adding intrigue. Well-suited for a wide range of interior styles: Abstract, Nomadic, boho chic, Abstract Expressionism, Cubism, Modern, Mid-Century Modern, Contemporary, Post-Modern, Memphis Group, Industrial, Rustic, Lodge, Contemporary Scandinavian, Ethnic, Primitive, African, Tribal and Bohemian. Perfect for adding a pop of color to a living room, family room, game room, play room, bedroom, study, studio, office, sitting room, children's, nursery, man cave, theater room, hallway, entry, foyer and entryway. Rendered in muted hues and variegated shades of pale orange, peach, apricot, champagne, rose, pink, coffee, charcoal, beige, and sand with other accent colors. Though deceptively simple, this beautiful Boujad rug is clearly laced with meaning and cultural significance. Boujad Tribe. Berber Tribes of Morocco. Abrash. hand knotted wool. Made in Morocco. Measures: 05’04 x 07’08.
