Description:-
74762 Vintage Berber
Moroccan Rug with Tribal Style 04'10 x 05'06 From Esmaili Rugs Collection.
This hand-knotted wool vintage Berber Moroccan rug features an allover diamond
pattern formed by zigzag lines outlined in a contrasting dark color to pop
against the vibrant field. The diamond,
as featured on this rug, is known to symbolize a woman’s openness to
conception. Taking center stage, diamonds within diamonds appear in the middle
of the lozenge pattern. In ancient Berber tradition, the smaller diamond, when
housed by the larger diamond seen in the foreground of this rug, predicts a
pregnancy. A border composed of a checkered band, also rows of "partridge
eyes" represents beauty in the eye of the beholder. This traditional
eye-catching example of a Moroccan rug will add a touch of exotic tribal art to
nearly any space. Hand-knotted wool. Made in Morocco. Berber Tribes of Morocco.
Measures: 04'10 X 05'06.
