Oushak Gallery Rug, 04'11 x 11'11.
This hand-knotted wool vintage Turkish Oushak gallery rug features five cusped
medallions with anchor tips at the four corners, each set with a smaller cusped
four-pointed medallion. Four half medallions or trefoil ziggurats pointing
inward flank the vertical length of each carpet runner. Poly-chromatic mounds
echoing the ziggurats are filled with rosettes and tulips adorn each corner
spandrel. It is enclosed with a floral and palmette border with leaves flanked
by an inner and outer guard border. Traditional forms and colors create a
compelling wide hallway runner. Invite the beauty of Anatolian weaving into
