Timeless appeal meets modern elegance this hand knotted wool antique Persian Heriz rug. The decorative geometric details and sophisticated color palette woven into this piece work together creating a classic yet modern look. The abrashed red field features a superimposed octofoil medallion anchored with flaming palmette pendants. An allover angular pattern composed of geometric motifs, stylized florals and foliage further ornament the field. Highly stylized spandrels radiate from the corners echoing designs within the field. A traditional Herati border and carnation guard border elegantly frames the composition.
