Description:-
20572 Vintage Berber Moroccan Rug 4'00 x 9'05 From Esmaili Rugs Collection. A muted tone of creamy-beige provides a beautiful backdrop for the black coffee colored design featured on this Vintage Berber Moroccan rug. This Moroccan rug is rich in Ancient Berber culture, as the design displays a host of reproductive symbolism frequently found in Berber made rugs. The "X" shape near the center is a symbol which is known to represent the open arms and legs of a woman who is ready to conceive. A diamond shape, subtly featured here, is the prediction of a pregnancy. The Berber Moroccan rug is bordered by an accenting 'zigzag' which completes the piece beautifully. Cream colored fringe hangs from one of the vertical sides. Hand-knotted wool. Made in Morocco. Berber Tribes of Morocco. Measures:4'00 x 9'05.
