73306 Antique Caucasian Kazak Rug, 04'04 X 08'07.
Based on traditional designs from the Caucasus region, this hand-knotted wool antique Russian Kazak rug features four Lesghi Stars surrounded by classic Caucasian motifs representing protection, longevity and fertility. This antique Kazak rug depicts a human figure in two of the corners, indicating the weaver was pregnant or possibly it was a wedding gift. It is finished with a leaf and calyx style (wine glass) border flanked with subsidiary meandering guard bands and very thin barber pole stripes.
- Rendered in variegated shades of brick red, rust, navy blue, tan, cerulean, beige, taupe and orange with other accent colors.
