Rugs Collection. This hand-knotted wool antique Persian Kurdish runner features
an all-over floral boteh pattern spread across an abrashed tan field. The large
Ashik meander main border’s geometric design contrasts nicely with the floral
botehs in the field. Hands-on-hips secondary borders and barber’s pole listels
flank the main border. The widely used boteh motif is variously thought to
represent a leaf, bush, pine-cone, sprout or flame. The hands-on-hips, or
goddess, motif symbolizes motherhood. The combination of patterns along with
the limited color palette of blues, reds, and neutrals make this antique
Persian runner quite striking and versatile. Rendered in variegated shades of
camel, ecru, tan, sienna, coffee, scarlet red, crimson, brick red, royal blue,
cerulean, indigo, and beige. Perfect for a wide hallway, entry, corridor,
