At first glance this hand-knotted wool vintage Moroccan rug seems to be asymmetrical but upon closer look it reveals balance through the differently placed motifs. The warm, neutral color backdrop displays an all-over mystifying pattern resembling specks of confetti drawing attention to the selected textures and unique shapes. The bottom portion of the Moroccan rug features rows of uneven stacked rectangular bands. In ancient Berber rug-making, the irregularly woven confetti sprinkles represent conception and rods (rectangular) bands symbolize the male's reproduction powers.
