The highly decorated botanical design and somber earthy hues woven into this piece work together creating a sense of warmth and welcomed informality. The lovingly time-worn composition features a densely populated field composed of blooming palmettes, serrated leaves, stylized florals, rosettes, leafy tendrils and floral sprigs. It is framed with a Shah Abbas palmette style border flanked with an inner and outer carnation meander guard band. With its weathered bucolic charm and rustic sensibility, this distressed Persian rug cultivates laid-back luxury.
