73223 Vintage Turkish Medallion Shag Rug with Transylvanian Anatolian Style 04'04 X 06'07. This hand-knotted wool vintage Turkish Oushak rug beautifully highlights Anatolian and Transylvanian designs of the past. It features two stepped lozenge medallions patterned with a Goz for and outlined with dart extensions. The diamond lozenges are surrouned by cross motifs and scorpions, and peacocks. Each corner spandrel is adorned with a square shape patterned with V-shaped motifs. A wide ziggurat style band filled with tree of life motifs encloses the inner composition. It is framed with a running dog outer guard border symbolizing a stylized Vitruvian scroll.
