74270 Distressed Antique Persian Kermanshah Rug with Inscribed Cartouche Kufic Design 04'02 X 06'02. This hand-knotted wool distressed antique Persian Kermanshah rug features a small round inscribed center medallion encompassed by alternating quatrefoil and trefoil cartouche inscriptions of Kufic calligraphy. The central medallion is anchored with inscribed Kufic cartouches while a pair of peacocks rest on each side and surrounded by palmettes, millefleur sprays, rosettes, tulips, lilies, and leafy tendrils. Each corner spandrel is adorned with a large-scale circular kufic and a rabbit among foliage and florals. It is framed with an inscription cartouche border flanked with an inner and outer rosette meander guard band. Perfect for a small space, nook, entry, foyer, stair landing, bedroom, front room, private library, music room, home office, studio, study, private Chamber, walk-on closet, drawing room, parlor, or formal sitting area.
