Description:-
73278 Antique Malayer Persian Rug with Rustic Arts and Crafts Style. With a Classic design and timeless style, this antique Malayer Persian rug features a column of stacked hexagonal lozenges with serrated edges with an abrashed blue outline. The field is comprised of a stylized all-over Herati pattern, which mimics some of the designs from the three medallions. The classic Herati motif consists of a flower centered in a diamond accompanied by curving lanceolate leaves that resemble fish. With its intimate patina and rich waves of abrash, this antique Persian rug has such an elegant feel, the abrashed camel field feels warm and the terra cotta and royal blue and cerulean hues add a bit of zest. Captivating and bold, the triple stacked serrated medallions take center stage emphasizing its high impact presence. Detailed with fine contrasting outlines, every element of the composition is brought into sharp focus against the field. From warming up traditional interiors and adding panache to formal spaces, this antique Persian runner seamlessly blends with eclectic areas and is well suited for a range of interiors. Perfect for a bedroom, entry, foyer, entryway, bathroom, study, studio, man cave, loft, sitting area or it would make an excellent accent piece in a living room, library, or vestibule. Rendered in variegated shades of camel, brown, terra cotta, brick red, rust, royal blue, navy blue, cerulean, salmon, coffee, tan, ecru, and beige. Abrash. Hand-knotted wool. Made in Persia (Iran).
