Description:-
Vintage Berber Moroccan Rug with Modern Tribal Design 04'03 x 05'00 From Esmaili Rugs Collection. Get a rich and exotic look with this vintage Berber Moroccan rug. With its modern tribal design and primitive charm, this Moroccan rug has all the warmth and presence of true Berber culture without overwhelming its surroundings. Featuring an ivory-beige field contrasting beautifully with vibrant shades of red, blue, green, yellow, orange, teal and black. The symbolic tribal motifs create balance through the composition as it tells the weaver’s story. While the patterns may seem whimsical and random, they are very significant to the rug weaver’s life. The symbols are usually references to events and aspects of their daily life such as beliefs, birth, fertility, nature, femininity, life and spirituality. Some believed that the rugs could even ward off evil spirits so naturally, they incorporated designs such as diamonds and lucky charms to ward off the evil spirits and bring luck, prosperity and protection. Hand-knotted wool. Made in Morocco. Measures: 04’03 x 05’00.
