50407 Vintage Turkish Oushak Rug, 04'06 X 11'04.
This hand-knotted wool vintage Turkish Oushak runner features two stepped hexagonal medallions with anchor pendants floating on an abrashed terra cotta field. Each medallion contains a superimposed medallion and pendant design along with a variety of protection symbols, including diamonds, latch-hooks, and hands-on-hips motifs. Serrated half-medallions line the edges of the field, each containing large ram’s horns, accompanied by small rosettes and eight-pointed stars. The main border features a stepped diagonal stripe design, while a hexagonal band inner guard border and carnation meander outer guard border add a delicate touch to the composition. A lappet end panel at the top of the piece finishes the composition with extra flair. With its warm and inviting color palette based around gorgeous shades of terra cotta and soft grays, this vintage Turkish Oushak runner would be a stylish yet comfortable addition to any interior.
