This hand-knotted wool antique Caucasian Kazak carpet runner with modern tribal style communicates some of the finer and more important points of geometric design elements. Classically composed and boasting a truly magnificent panel compartment design, this antique Kazak runner features a stacked row four of latch-hook medallions separated by bands composed of ram's horn. It is finished with a stacked and repeating ram's horn in alternating colors. The main border is flanked with a subsidiary cruciform guard band and very thin barber pole stripes. Rendered in a stunning selection of time-softened colors emphasizing the artistry and Primitive charm of Kazak culture. The beautifully abrash field incorporates a tonal array of rust, olive green, charcoal, slate, blue, apricot, blush, beige and yellow hues.
