Rugs Collection. This hand-knotted wool vintage Turkish Oushak runner
features an all-over diamond lattice pattern spread across an abrashed field.
Rows of irregular diamonds in alternating colors comprise the lattice, while
each diamond contains superimposed smaller diamonds. The main border featuring
a diamond and ram’s horn pattern, along with a thin barber’s pole inner border,
frame the composition. The piece’s exaggerated waves of abrash give the
relatively simple design visual interest and impact, while soft shades of pale
rose add a romantic touch to the neutral color palette based around an array of
warm, neutral earth-tones. With its striking graphic appeal, versatile colors,
and lovingly time-worn appearance, this vintage Turkish Oushak runner would
enhance any space. Rendered in variegated shades of beige, ecru, camel, tan,
buff, khaki, sand, fawn, mauve, light pink, rose, cerulean, denim, indigo,
