. This hand-knotted wool vintage Turkish Oushak runner features
three connected hexagonal medallions capped with palmette pendants spread across
an abrashed red field. Each medallion contains a pair of leafy palmettes
blooming outwards from an open center blossom. Oversized flowers burst forth
from the field in between the medallions. Simple rosette meander guard borders
offset the wide graphic main border, which features large angular blossoms. The
repetition of open blossoms in different styles, from naturalistic to more
abstract, gives the composition significant visual interest and dimension. The
ruby red field and dark coffee outlining ground the otherwise soft color
palette. With its dynamic design and overall sense of balance, this vintage
Oushak runner would be a pleasant and stylish addition to any space. Rendered
in variegated shades of rustic red, scarlet red, ruby red, brick red, sage,
