73481 Antique Camel Hair Persian Malayer Rug, 03'03 X 06'04.
Warm, feminine rustic style
meets unpretentious and simple. This hand-knotted wool distressed antique
Persian Malayer runner features a low contrast all-over geometric pattern
composed of repeating scorpion motifs forming a honeycomb latticework design.
Miniature ziggurats with a jagged outline protrude towards the center. A zigzag
saw-tooth minor guard band surrounds the field. It is enclosed with a triple
border composed of a carnation meander border flanked by two meandering boteh
and floral vine guard borders and four subsidiary comb or ladder stripes. The
corner spandrels are adorned with a Herati pattern with large-scale
acanthus-leaves. This distressed antique Malayer runner is the answer to rustic
feminine interiors with delicate glamour and grace.
