This hand-knotted wool antique Caucasian Shirvan prayer rug features a mihrab niche with large-scale flowers bloom on an abrashed navy blue back drop. Inside the mihrab is a comb shape and above the mihrab is filled with boteh, roundels and cartouche inscriptions. It is framed with a diagonal Gendge stripe and boteh border flanked with an inner and outer subsidiary guard border. Perfect for a prayer room, foyer, entry, stair landing, home office, private library, kitchen, or it would make a lovely accent in a bedroom, bathroom, study, den, mudroom, or small sitting room.
