This hand-knotted wool antique Persian Heriz runner features a series of connected diamond pole medallions with ram’s horn pendants across an abrashed field. Four eight-pointed stars decorate the interior of each medallion. Additional smaller diamond-shaped medallions with cross motifs appear beside the main medallions, while small rosettes dot the field. A rosette main border and angular meander guard borders frame the composition. The repetition of shapes and motifs combined with an attractive earthy color palette creates a highly dynamic and well-balanced composition. This antique Persian hallway runner would bring vitality and beauty to nearly any space.
