Description:-
71535 Distressed Antique Persian Tabriz Pictorial Rug Depicts Dervish with Master, Tapestry Wall Hanging. This hand knotted wool antique Persian Tabriz Pictorial rug depicts a Dervish with his master in a garden scene. The master and Dervish are wearing traditional Persian garb. Blossoming trees surround the Dervish. Drawing inspiration from Nur Ali Shah and Mostaq Ali Shah combined with ancient Persian history and time-softened colors, this Persian Pictorial rug creates a foundation for an enchanting and heavenly story. According to Wikipedia, a dervish is someone treading a Sufi Muslim ascetic path. They are also known as "Tariqah" and recognized for their austerity and their vow to extreme poverty. The dervish believe in relinquishing one's earthly ties to reach a state of tranquility, love and harmony. In the majority of Sufi orders, a dervish is known to practice dhikr through physical exertions or religious practices to attain the ecstatic trance to reach Allah. Their most common practice is Sema which is associated with Rumi. This delightful piece of art could be used as a wall hanging, colorful wall art, or pictorial tapestry. Well-suited for a wide range of interior styles: Islamic, Traditional, Arts and Crafts, Rustic, Cabin, Lodge, Urban, Folk Art, Eclectic, Empire Ottoman, Arabian, and a variety of spaces. Rendered in variegated shades of sand, tan, ecru, taupe, red, olive, sage, sky blue, ink blue, mauve, rose, and coffee with other accent colors. Distressed. Desirable Age Wear. Abrash.
