This hand-knotted wool antique Persian Bakhtiari rug features a lobed medallion filled with an eight-point star in a vanilla-cream field surrounded by an allover rectilinear pattern composed of boteh, palmettes, feathers, serrated leaves, roundel flowers, stylized florals and vine scrolls. It is enclosed with lavish spandrels and framed by a classic salmon colored border flanked with sky blue guard borders. Set off from a majestic field and a medley of motifs, this antique Bakhtiari rug showcases ancient Persian culture and brings a sense of tradition. Rendered in variegated shades of brick red, burgundy, maroon, wine, cerulean, sky blue, salmon, apricot, tan, ecru, beige, taupe, brown, cream and vanilla. Abrash. Antique Wash. Hand-knotted wool.
