73717 Late 19th Century Antique Turkish Oushak Rug, 11'02 x 13'08. 

The architectural elements of naturalistic forms and timeless elegance combined with Arts & Crafts style, this hand knotted wool antique Turkish Oushak rug astounds with its beauty. The geometric print and earthy hues woven into this antique Turkish Oushak rug work together adding texture and subtle graphic appeal forming a relaxed and cozy, yet lively space. The abrashed field features a central pole medallion sprouting with an all-over botanical pattern composed of Harshang-style motifs, angular palmettes, leafy tendrils with stems, angular vines, and organic amorphous shapes. It is enclosed with a rectilinear botanical border flanked with an inner and outer meander guard band and outer sawtooth guard stripe. 

  • Rendered in muted hues and variegated shades of sage, greyish-greenish, moss, verdigris, soft brick red, rust, olive, terra cotta, baked clay, brass, goldenrod, saffron, taupe, ecru, light gray, and tan with other accent colors.
