With a beautiful fusion of rich Venetian colors and Modern Victorian style, this hand-knotted wool antique Persian Mashhad palace rug is designed to impress. The all-over floral pattern unfolds lavish details of millefleur sprays, splayed palmettes, star flowers, hyacinth flowers, delicate blossoms, curled sickle leaves, arabesque vines, stylized lilies and tulips with leafy tendrils and acanthus leaves. A large floral cartouche sprouts from each corner spandrel and outlined with a curved sickle leaf. It is enclosed with an inscription cartouche border flanked with multiple inner and outer guard bands and guard borders.
