Kashan Area Rug with Neoclassical Style 09’09 x 13’08 From Esmaili Rugs
Collection. Featuring a standard Kashan medallion of stepped and lobed
attributes, this hand-knotted wool vintage Persian Kashan rug is ornamented by
elongated palmette-shaped pendants and surrounded by elaborate tri-color
spandrels and an all-over floral pattern composed of various lotus, blooming
pomegranate, lilies, blossoms, curvilinear leafy tendrils, and generous,
multicolor palmettes. A grand main border features a Shah Abbas design
meanwhile inner and outer carnation meander guard borders flank either side.
