The richly detailed floral pattern and refined color palette woven into this piece work together resulting in a sophisticated yet relaxed feel with historical richness. Starting from the center is tiny blooming palmette radiating outwards with curved sickle leaves, arabesque vines entwined with blooming palmettes, lotus blossoms, stylized florals, leafy tendrils and undulating botanical formations covering the abrashed creamy beige field. In the same manner, a richly patterned botanical border create the perfect accompaniment whilst meandering floral and acanthus guard borders add the finishing touch. Dancing between the realms of nostalgic charm and relaxed formality, this vintage Persian area rug captures the simplicity and timeless appeal inspired by Colonial Revival, American Colonial and Federal style architecture.
