06'06 x 09'09. This hand-knotted wool distressed antique Persian Malayer
rug showcases an eclectic Parisian and Arts & Crafts style. A round
medallion composed of a small eight-petaled flower with curled sickle leaves
extending on a beige backdrop dotted with symbols. The circular medallion is
outlined with small cartouche panels and rosettes. The open abrashed field is
framed by a zigzag saw-tooth border. The spandrels in each corner echo the
medallion's pattern. It is enclosed with a cartouche border with Bereket motifs
flanked by barber pole stripes and an outer carnation meander guard band.
