This hand knotted wool antique Chinese rug features a gorgeous pictorial landscape scene with a deer and crane standing next to a leafy tree set against an abrashed black field. Bat motifs below the deer's hooves signify the arrival of happiness. The deer also called Lù symbolizes good fortune while a crane represents long life and when paired together they symbolize longevity and wealth. It is enclosed with a Chinese cloudband and basket border with triple round Shou circles in each corner.
