73839 Vintage Turkish Oushak Runner with Tribal Style, Hallway Runner 03'05 x 10'08. Warm and inviting, this hand-knotted wool vintage Turkish Oushak runner beautifully embodies a traditional English Manor style. Running the length of the Oushak runner are three large-scale medallions patterned with earring motifs. A variety of flowers and traditional Anatolian symbols, including burdocks, rosettes, and hair band motifs are spread throughout the composition. Earrings, a common wedding present in Anatolia, represent marriage. Sawtooth and Burdock symbols are both used to protect against evil. It is finished with a floral meander border flanked with double inner and outer floral meander guard bands.
