Description:-

53222 Distressed Antique Persian Tabriz Rug with Modern Industrial Style 07'04 x 10'01. Warm and inviting with rustic sensibility, this hand-knotted wool distressed antique Persian Tabriz rug beautifully embodies a Modern Industrial style. The lovingly time-worn field features a hexagonal concentric medallion patterned with an all-over Herati pattern. The Classic Herati pattern, also known as the Mahi or Fish pattern, is amongst the most widespread and well known of all Persian designs, consisting of a flower centered in a diamond accompanied by curving lanceolate leaves that resemble fish. Immersed in ancient Persian history, this antique Tabriz rug is full of symbolism. Hexagons with their six sides represent a symbol of perfect union as hexagons are created from equal parts and the energetic emblem of soulful integration. A hexagon is the shape that most efficiently breaks flat space up into little units. The Herati motif is widely used in Iran and believed to represent the small fishes come up just beneath the surface of the water to swim in the full moon’s reflection. Strongly defined Herati motifs the central medallion while complementing the same design appearing throughout in the detailed spandrels. It is enclosed with a series of borders, pulling together colors from throughout serving to unify the piece and create a sense of harmony. With its perfectly worn-in charm and understated elegance, this distressed Persian rug would bring a sense of nostalgic charm to nearly any interior. Perfect for a great room, wine cellar, executive suite, conservatory, state room, royal suite, hotel lobby, music room, living room, dining room, drawing room, private library, golf locker room, billiards room, clubhouse, large home office, master retreat, private Chambers, studio, study, loft, lounge, entertainment parlor, trophy room, large bedroom, or formal sitting room.
